Edale Mountain Rescue Team Swiftly Aids Injured Walker at Parkin Clough

On Monday, 12th February 2024, the Edale Mountain Rescue Team (EMRT) was called into action following a request from Derbyshire Police to assist an injured walker near Parkin Clough, in the Peak District.

Demonstrating their commitment to community safety and emergency response, the team quickly mobilised, driving and hiking to the walker’s location to provide the necessary assistance.

Upon arrival, the EMRT provided medical care to the injured individual, employing their expertise to ensure the walker was appropriately packaged and prepared for transportation.

The team then executed a careful stretcher operation, safely transporting the walker down to an awaiting ambulance provided by the East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust at the dam wall.
