A walker suffered a suspected broken ankle and needed rescuing from a Lake District hill.
The incident happen on Saturday when a woman who is in her mid-50s, was walking on Gowbarrow Fell near Dockray slipped on wet grass.
Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team was alerted about 12.25pm and its members used three Land Rovers to reach the scene.
A team spokesperson said: “The casualty was assessed by the team doctor and treated at the scene for a possible fracture to her right ankle.
“She was put in a leg splint and evacuated off the fell by stretcher to a team vehicle where she was conveyed to the main road and was then taken to hospital for treatment.”
The 2½- hour incident involved 14 Patterdale MRT volunteers.
