Rossendale & Pendle Mountain Rescue Team was called out four times between 20 and 29 September, including to assist an injured biker on Hameldon Hill and a farmer who suffered a serious leg injury in Foulridge, the team said in a post on its website on Friday 2 October 2026.

On Sunday 20 September, the team was asked to help an injured biker on Hameldon Hill but stood down after learning the casualty had reached hospital under their own steam.

On Tuesday 22 September, the North West Ambulance Service asked the team to help a farmer in Foulridge who had fallen while working and suffered a serious leg injury. The team treated the farmer alongside paramedics before helping move them to a waiting ambulance.

On Wednesday 23 September, the team was asked to help evacuate a patient with COPD from a farm in Roughlee. It was stood down once the ambulance crew managed the evacuation without further assistance.

On the evening of Monday 29 September, the team was called to an incident in woodland in Accrington. It said it used "a rope system" to bring the casualty up a steep, muddy embankment before transferring them to its all-wheel-drive ambulance for the journey to the road head.
