Send us a story

Seen something on the hills or the coast? Tell us.

A rescue, a closure, a new campsite, a path that has washed away. Our editor reads every story and checks the facts before anything is published.

Before you send

If someone is in danger now, call 999. Ask for the police and then mountain rescue on land, or the coastguard at sea.

Your story

So we can check the facts with you. We never publish it.

Who, what, where and when, as far as you know. Stick to what you saw or know first hand.

Where

A village, beach, fell, lake or campsite.

For example, Saturday afternoon or 12 September.

Up to 5 photos, JPEG, PNG or WebP, 15MB each. We remove location data from them before we store them.

We keep what you send, including photos, for 12 months, then delete it, unless we use it in a published story, when we keep it with that story's records.
