Buxton MRT at the Buxton Spring Fair – meet the team

The Buxton Mountain Rescue Team (BMRT) is a group of dedicated volunteers who provide vital emergency services in the Peak District National Park. On the 1st of May 2023, the team set up a stall at the Buxton Spring Fair in Spring Gardens, Castleton, to showcase their work and connect with the local community.

As the team stated, “We want to give people the opportunity to come and meet us, ask any questions they may have, and learn more about what we do. It’s important to us to connect with the community and let them know that we are here to help.”

The BMRT stall was filled with information about the team’s work, including their history, the services they provide, and the equipment they use. Visitors to the stall had the chance to speak with team members and learn more about their roles within the organization.
